Brand South Africa was at Mponegele Le Iterele Orphan Centre in the village of GaMagoa, Limpopo, for Nelson Mandela Day. The aim of the activation was to educate, empower and encourage youth on making a positive difference in their community. Brand South Africa also spoke to youth about our national symbols, community development opportunities, Play Your Part and active citizenship while creating a platform for networking.
Brand South Africa recognises the critical role of youth in building our country’s global competitiveness. Brand South Africa urges the youth in South Africa to engage with and take ownership of the country’s National Development Plan (NDP) since this plan aims to reduce poverty and inequality by 2030. To ensure that young people can participate in building our country with the NDP as a foundation, the plan is centred on youth.
