South Africa reaches one million .co.za domains
Following its creation in 1992, the .co.za domain zone has hit the one million mark, says the ZA Central Registry, which manages it and other domains. The first website to use the domain was bksinc.co.za, which looks almost unrecognisable compared to today's websites.
SA cities to get domain names
Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban will soon have a new platform for promoting business and tourism – the top level domain suffixes dotJoburg, dotCapetown and dotDurban are expected to be launched later this year.
