SA’s smart ID roll-out plan ‘on track’
South Africa's Home Affairs Department issued 100 pilot ID smart cards earlier this
year to test their functionality and durability, with plans to start rolling out the cards
in 2013 "on track", says Home Affairs Director-General Mkuseli Apleni.
