The cruise liner was finally floated off the reef where she was wrecked, on the shores of an Italian island, and began the long journey home. She is being towed to Genoa, where she will be scrapped. It has been the longest and most expensive marine salvage operation in history, captained by master South African salvager, Nicholas Sloane.
