Winners: 2015 Agility Africa photo competition

Angola, Kenya and Uganda came out tops in the Africa Agility photo competition. The aim of the contest was to encourage amateur and professional photographers to capture development in Africa in three categories: cities, industry, and technology. Uganda's Mohsen Taha was named the overall winner.

"Captain" Kgaugelo Mabjwe is one of eight students of the Umuzi Photo Club, based in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, who are currently exhibiting their work at the prestigious Gallery@Oxo on London's South Bank.

Apply for Tierney Fellowship 2009

Applications are now being accepted for the 2009 Tierney Fellowship at the Market Photo Workshop. The fellowship aims to provide the successful applicant with the financial support necessary to research and produce a body of photographic work, in consultation with a mentor, over the period of a year.

SA shines at World Press Photo

Five South African photographers - Pieter Hugo, Shayne Robinson, Sydney Seshibedi, Joao Silva and Halden Krog - have walked away with top honours at this year's World Press Photo awards, the most prestigious annual international competition in press photography.
