A group of cyclists took part in a non-stop relay race of more than 1 000km to fundraise for diabetic children in South Africa. On their trip through three provinces, locals were educated about keeping healthy and being active, as well as encouraging people to get tested.
On one of the coldest nights of winter, chief executives from more than 240 companies slept on the pavement. Their efforts were both lauded and criticised, but they raised funds for Girls and Boys Town South Africa and built a lot of empathy for the homeless.
