US funding for SA solar project secured
US firm SunEdison has secured R1.8-billion ($185-million) in development finance for the 60 MW Boshof Solar Park project in the Free State province - the first project in the country's renewable energy programme that will be fitted with photovoltaic modules manufactured in South Africa.
