The Muse-um

A Visual Arts/Social History Programme in partnership with Iziko Museums that aims to engage high schools with the material that the museums’ education programmes impart and provide an interactive platform for learners through the creation of ‘memory walls’. These ‘memory walls’ will serve as reflections of how the learners experience the material and provide interactive and physical feedback. Through the programme, high school learners will be exposed to the following: · To use design techniques as tools for idea generation · To provide a connection between ideas and entrepreneurship · To stimulate interests in the arts and technology All the memory walls created through the project will be digitised onto an online platform (where learners can continue to add to the conversation) as well as turned into a book. ‘Future Memories, Future Histories’ is part of a 3-year programme aimed at introducing design thinking & technology to learners nationally.
