The South African government is calling on potential investors to inject their resources in the local mining sector, saying that they can contribute throughout the value chain, from exploration to beneficiation.

South Africa’s mining and minerals industry is open to investment throughout the value chain – from exploration to beneficiation. To promote investment in the sector, Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane (MP) will officially open the annual Investing in African Mining Indaba and showcase South Africa’s prowess in mining. The Indaba will be held from 5 to 8 February 2018 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Join government as it engages delegates of the 2018 Mining Indaba and the media corps on the industry’s prospects, government’s plans and investment opportunities in the South Africa.

Team SA’s calendar of events at the 2018 Mining Indaba include:

•Official opening address by Minister Zwane: 05 February 2018 at 09:10 – 09:30

•Q&A with Minister Zwane and his cabinet colleagues: 05 February 2018 from 14:00 – 16:00. Ask the Minister questions in advance at http://www.dmr.gov.za/miqc.

•Visit the South African stand (stand number 616) during the indaba for more information on SA’s mining industry.
