Celebrating Freedom Month 2016

 

April in South Africa is Freedom Month, to mark 27 April 1994, the day all citizens won the right to vote in democratic elections and choose their own leaders for the very first time. In 2016 we celebrate 22 years of this freedom.

Coming ahead of the country’s annual commemoration of Freedom Month, Brand South Africa’s Domestic Perceptions Research shows that being South African is a significant element of individual and national identity. South African local elections date set

The next local government elections will take place on 3 August 2016. The minister of cooperative governance and traditional affairs will follow the necessary legal procedure to proclaim the date and fulfil other requirements needed, the Presidency said yesterday in announcing the date. READ MORE >
