The International Marketing Council of South Africa (IMC), responsible for overseeing the marketing of Brand South Africa around the world today announced the appointment of Mr. Miller Matola as Chief Executive Officer. Matola had been CEO of the Durban ICC since 2006.
Three million tickets. 64 matches. 32 teams. Approximately 450 000 international visitors. A global television audience of more than 26 billion viewers cumulatively. 48 million proud Bafana Bafana supporters. And billions of rands spent on improving South Africa for the long term beyond the World Cup.
The positioning of South Africa as both a globally competitive trade and investment destination and dominant developing economy forms the backbone of the formation of a public-private partnership spearheaded by the International Marketing Council (Brand South Africa) at this year’s World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
